Research areas
The Ukrainian branch focuses on how the war is changing Ukrainian society, and on the tools needed to measure those changes reliably.
Public opinion monitoring
Monthly nationwide surveys tracking trust in institutions, household economic sentiment and attitudes to key public issues. Regular measurement shows not only the level of each indicator but also how it changes after key events.
Monitoring indicatorsSociety at war
How the experience of war, displacement and economic loss affects social cohesion, interpersonal trust and everyday coping strategies. We are interested in what makes society resilient and where its vulnerabilities lie.
AnalysisUkrainians abroad
Forced migration as a transnational phenomenon: legal status, adaptation in host countries, ties with Ukraine and plans to return. The aim is regular, comparable data from many countries at once.
Measurement methodology
Adapting and validating psychometric scales for the Ukrainian context, and methodological experiments with question formats. Validated instruments make results from different studies comparable.
