Consumer confidence index
The index combines four assessments: how the household's financial situation has changed over the past year, how it will change over the next, whether now is a good time for major purchases, and how much the respondent expects to spend on them. Values below zero mean pessimistic assessments outweigh optimistic ones.

The shaded band is the 95% confidence interval. The wording of the question on whether now is a good time for major purchases changed between May and June and again between July and August, so differences across those months may partly reflect the change in the instrument. August and September are fully comparable.
Household finances
In September, the share of people whose household finances worsened over the past 12 months rose to 51%, the highest since we began asking this question in April. Expectations for the coming year also deteriorated.

About the survey
Computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) with a random sample of mobile numbers. The survey covers people aged 18 and over in all regions except the temporarily occupied territories and areas without stable Ukrainian mobile coverage. Data are weighted by age and settlement type. Fieldwork is carried out by Rating Group on behalf of ITCCS.
